jmpadilla@bshare.net
This link shows how to set up the Microsoft Network client for DOS.
http://www.lpt.com/windowsnetworking/regusers/Dosclnt3.htm Then once the client is set up, this page shows how to make it act like a server.
http://www.lpt.com/windowsnetworking/regusers/Dosservr.htm Then you'd be able share files and printers.
I've never tried sharing a com port before, so I'm not sure what to say.
Do you plan on sharing files and printers, or did you have something else in mind?
Maybe this will help to do a quick network installation for DOS. The software called "Netboot" is written in German but maybe you can handle it ;-)
http://www.backmagic.de/download/download.htm#form Netboot will create a non bootable floppy but you can also copy those files including autoexec.bat and config.sys on your harddisk to start your network. Just edit both files.
But it´s a pain to get enough free memory for MPXPLAY. I tried it with memmaker but it didn´t work. But progs like QUEMM will work fine.

Hey,
I´ve made it!!!
MPXT and MPXPLAY now goes Wireless.
Dos and a Cisco WLAN card are fully working now.
Pretty cool ;-)
