I´ve found an Ultra DMA driver for DOS.
You just install it after Himem.sys and EMM386 and it works fantastic. The driver activates Bios UDMA Mode (if your Motherboard supports this).
Transfer rate ist now at about 85 MB/sec (UDMA100)and reading large directories with mpxt and mpxplay goes much faster.
Install it like this:
DEVICE[HIGH]=[path]UDMA.SYS
That´s all. The driver will report if he was able to activate UDMA mode or not, which depends on the chip set, but most Intel, VIA, SIS and ALI chips (south bridge) are supported.

Just try it ;-)
