The links to http://www.lpt.com" target="_blank">www.lpt.com are dead.
Try this one:

Maybe this will help to do a quick network installation for DOS. The software called "Netboot" is written in German but maybe you can handle it ;-)

Netboot will create a non bootable floppy but you can also copy those files including autoexec.bat and config.sys on your harddisk to start your network. Just edit both files.
But it´s a pain to get enough free memory for MPXPLAY. I tried it with memmaker but it didn´t work. But progs like QUEMM will work fine.

This link shows how to set up the Microsoft Network client for DOS.
http://www.lpt.com/windowsnetworking/regusers/Dosclnt3.htm" TARGET="_top">http://www.lpt.com/windowsnetworking/regusers/Dosclnt3.htm

Then once the client is set up, this page shows how to make it act like a server.
http://www.lpt.com/windowsnetworking/regusers/Dosservr.htm" TARGET="_top">http://www.lpt.com/windowsnetworking/regusers/Dosservr.htm

Then you'd be able share files and printers.

I've never tried sharing a com port before, so I'm not sure what to say.

Do you plan on sharing files and printers, or did you have something else in mind?
